My taste in music:

I'd consider myself to be an enjoyer of almost every genre of music out there, from pop to punk, from hip-hop to hyperflip (what's that?) . It's my firm belief that there are no truly "bad" genres, just music that I don't vibe with. Here's some music I would consider must-listens.

Youtube's embeds are finnicky at best so this page may not display videos sometimes, not something I can fix.

Anyways... these are my top 9 songs at the moment, since my preferences are always changing this may not be the same in a month.

An all-time classic

A great cover

Touching, truly

Isao Tomita - Arabesque No. 1
This song has been one that I consistently come back to as a fan of classical music, first hearing it while playing #21: The World, an abstract game born from the developer's dream diary (which I think is cool). It's a surreal and calming synth cover of an already amazing classical song.

rusino - Looping the Rooms (cover by Marshiro Ch.)
I think the original is pretty popular online, but one of my friends sent me this once and instantly liked it. I've been a fan of voicebanks that are fairly obscure as well so it's perfect for me.
I'm also a furry, that might have something to do with it, I dunno...

Rufus Wainwright - The Motion Waltz
Meet the Robinsons is one of my favorite movies of all time, the message to keep pushing forward even after messing up is something that's helped me greatly. While not about that it's still a great love song. I absolutely love the instrumentals and the vocals are the icing on the cake for me. It's sweet, plain and simple.

Very emotional

Sappy but golden

To be in your 20s

Utada Hikaru - One Last Kiss
I've been a fan of some of Hikaru-san's other music (like all the music she made for Kingdom Hearts). This song super clicked with me after running into it when listening to someone's anime and video game music playlist. I think this was in Evangelion but I haven't finished it so I wouldn't know.

Nancy Adams - Love
Ever since I first watched it ages ago I've been a huge fan of the animated Robin Hood movie. Then recently after I watched Fantastic Mr. Fox (which is a fantastic movie) I fell back in love with this song and now it reminds me of two of my all-time favorite movies.

RAT BOY - Who's Ready for Tomorrow
I spent late summer of 2025 playing Cyberpunk 2077 after a friend gifted it to me on steam. I think it very much captures how it feels to be in my early 20's in this day and age. It's a preem song, choom.

Very Relaxing

For stormy nights

It's quite sad

desert sand feels warm at night - Eternal Hope
The name is incredibly long, yes, but I've been a fan of this artist after getting recommended this song on a furry imageboard. It very much encapsulates the vaporwave asthetic that the early 2020's was super popular online. Vaporwave aside it's just a relaxing song in general. New World Disciples is an amazing album, highly recommended.

aiko - Star
I first listened to this song in the summer of 2025 after watching Arashi no Yoru ni with a friend. It's an amazing song and has a lot of heart put into it which is very clear to hear in the singer's vocals, I think. It makes me sad for a multitude of reasons but I can't help but come back to it.

Laufey - Falling Behind
At this point it seems pretty clear that I'm a sucker for love songs. I find the lyrics very relatable, being blinded by a jealousy, loneliness, and desire to have a partner after seeing so many of my friends having partners of their own. I ended up picking a friend I enjoyed being around (and confessed to me a long while ago) and said "screw it." But it ended up not being love and I ended up only hurting him and hurting myself further. It's a good song though, I like Laufey's music, bossa nova is great.
